Based out of Ventura, California, Computer Idiot Technology Services offers computer service and repair, computer training and other technical support for small businesses and home users, delivering help in PLAIN English without the "geek-speak", talking with our customers in such a way that makes it easy and pleasant to do business with us.  Since 1989 we've specialized in applications training (Microsoft Office, QuickBooks, etc.), as well as computer service and repair along with technology consulting and other computer services for small business, government and individuals.

We are also the original creators and publishers of the computer book, "The Original Computer Idiot® PC User's Guide", a beginner's book on basic PC usage, long before the first "DOS for Dummies" book was published... in fact, we believe they followed our lead (ran with our idea) after we introduced the title to IDG Books (Dummies publishers) representatives at a New York computer show in 1990. (We've owned the United States registered trademarks for Computer Idiot® and PC Idiot® since then as well).

ABOUT OUR COMPUTER TRAINING

Computer Idiot Technology Services is a private post-secondary school connecting people to technology.  We are an award winning (voted Best and Favorite computer service and training facility in West Ventura County in 2001 and through 2008), quality computer-training center.  We are registered with the State of California's Bureau for Private Postsecondary and Vocational Education, BPPVE registration #5602191.  We provide corporate and individual training as well as vocational rehabilitation training.

The computer is a tool that should advance the quality of our lives, but all too often the inexperienced user is unnecessarily frustrated at the hands of computer technology.  We believe that people need both confidence and competency to be successful and that's what we strive to deliver. Our state of the art facilities and our friendly, professional instructors help clients reach their full potential. Our goal is to provide cost-effective, high quality computer training to improve the skills of both beginning and advanced computer users.

We offer computer training programs to meet the client's needs.  We provide high-impact training in the shortest time possible coupled with professional, patient instructors.  Here, we do not use computerized tutorials nor do you have to deal with an instructor who follows a book and can't answer questions beyond a tutorial. Our proven hands-on method of learning is different because we teach you about computer applications using plain English taught by experienced instructors. We are committed to quality and we present comprehensive training with limited class sizes.  Computer training at our facility is taught on Microsoft Windows based PCs, with "instructor view" monitors next to the computer for easy viewing of computer instruction with one (1) student per computer.  In Vocational Rehabilitation training sessions, there are no more than two (2) students per class for maximum benefit. Classes are 8 to 16 weeks in length with monthly progress reports available.  (Open lab time is available for study/practice).
